Accessibility and reasonable adjustments

Tell LL Courts & Tribunals Service about disability, communication or other access needs affecting court or tribunal participation.

Ask for administrative arrangements early

If a disability, communication need, language need or other access requirement affects participation, tell the court or tribunal administration as early as reasonably possible using the contact route for the case or service.

Examples of practical support

Depending on the case, applicable procedure and available arrangements, support may concern documents, communication method, timing, access to a hearing, interpretation or another reasonable adjustment.

Administrative support does not decide legal or evidential questions.

The judge or tribunal remains responsible for judicial decisions about the fair conduct of proceedings, evidence and procedure.
